The US President Barack Obama became the first US president to celebrate Diwali in White House.Obama himself lightened candle and took asirwad from the priest.Previously from the year 2003 George Bush started to celebrate Diwali but that was outside the White House, nearby electrorial building and bush never was present himself , only speech of him was dictated .

But Obama himself celebrated the occasion in White house and greet people to maintain peace and harmony
