Manila, Philippines-- A total of P459 Million damage losses were enlisted by the Pangasinan Fishing Sector after the passing of the super typhoon Pepeng.
According to City Agriculture Officer Emma Molina, fishstocks, structures, and feeds, where among the affected supplies that were obliterated, and cannot be recovered.
Molina also stressed that some of the bangus fishes acquired wounds after debris had fallen from different rivers, adding that it had overflowed in the resurgence of typhoon Pepeng.
In the crops and agricultural sector, there was an estimate of P10 M total losses after crops were immersed of Bonuan, Boguig, and Binloc.
Molina believes that that fishpen and fishpond operators can easily recuperate from their tremendous losses; after the clearing operations, they can once again place their structures, and use fingerlings.
