After three weeks of misery, Miron got his old apartment back from Mr Harris, where he was during the Christmas and new year period nineteen seventy three and the new year nineteen seventy four when the seventy four floods came. Miron rang Mr Harris after they had a lot of heavy rain, he couldn’t give him accommodation because all the power lines were blown down, ring back tomorrow.

Terry came from his nursing job and hit the rum bottle, than he went to the kitchen and made himself a big meal from the food that came out of the slolen money. After tea, he went out to West End to drive the Toowong ferry, but allas for him, the boat wasn’t there, he reported it missing and he lost his job on the spot, it was his fault that the ferry was taken away by the flood waters because he didn’t secure it to the pier ptoperly.

When the floods came, the ferry was lifted high, the rope slipped from the post and the ferry vanished forever. Then there was still the question of the stolen money from Terry’s room, poor old Terry was forced to pay it all out of his own pocket which was very hard for him. One week after Miron moved to sixty Cordelia Street, where Mr Harris moved him to with his car, Miron bought himself a learner’s typewriter that was an antique Royal for two dollars.

Mr Harrises property now has the Wella Balsam hair shampoo company there. The typewriter sat Miron on the way of writing, it didn’t have a taking spool or a ribbon either. Miron also bought a tin letter box to replace the wooden one that he smashed on the evening that he was attacked by Terry and Rick Jayci. Miron wishes now that he took Ulandy on when she asked him for love because Rick Jayci didn’t deserve her, he only did it with her when he was in a mood for it, not when she wanted to do it.

They never married because he dumped herbefore he formed the Jaycees religious group, she had no intencion to marry him anyway. Miron went over the road to a stationery company when he bought the typewriter and bought a Royal ribbon but they didn’t have an empty spool spool of any kind to give him. It was the first time that he could say he had his own typewriter.

There was the Hermes typewriter shop down the road, near the corner of Anne Street, where Miron took the typewriter and was given an empty spool for it free because it was to be thrown in the rubbish bin. Miron took the typewriter and the letter box that he bought for one dollar fifty on a bus back to South Brisbane.
