And this time it's for real.

There has been as much publicity surrounding Michael Jackson since his death as there was when he was alive.

A "new" song from Jackson was released via the internet on October 12 titled "This is it". Shortly after the song's release Grammy Award winning legend Paul Anka filed papers for song theft.

According to Anka he and Jackson collaborated on the song "I Never Heard" in 1983 and after working on the tapes Jackson allegedly took them from the studio vault. Jackson returned the tapes under threat of legal action but only after making copies and changing the name to "This is it".

No comments have been made from Sony or the Jackson estate on the accusations and Anka is reportedly weighing his legal options.

Anka's version "I Never Heard" was released by Safire in 1991.
