Taliban Getting Bold

As the Taliban has increased it's presence over the past year, there is no doubt that the amount of people joining and supporting this rebel group is increasing drastically day by day. Despite America's efforts to bring down terrorism and the Taliban, it has been a constant struggle considering that a large portion of this organization is hiding in the less than friendly Pakistan. However, with recent and increased attacks by the Taliban in Pakistan does some hope loom that the Pakistani government may have finally grown tired of these antics and may perhaps bring some heat onto these war crazed criminals?

Many government officials around the world are very nervous at this juncture in time about the security of the nuclear weapons that Pakistan possesses. The reason for this is that yesterday the Pakistani military headquarters was attacked by the Taliban killing approximately 40 or so soldiers and personnel. Why does this cause concern? If the military bases are this easily subject to attack, then what reassures the world that other military bases, most notably the ones holding nuclear weapons are safe fromfurther attacks and more scarily from being looted of their weapons of mass destruction.

Imagine the terror and devastation that would overtake the United States and rest of the world if the rebel Taliban got its hands on nuclear weapons. Their threat would increase drastically as would the need to change tactics and strategy for how to penetrate this surprisingly intelligent band of criminals. The issue is one that needs to be addressed and addressed quickly as spectators from around the world hold their collective breathes in fear that one of these Taliban missions to attack Pakistani military bases doesn't result in the looting of nuclear weapons.

I like what you are saying but I have to disagree with you. The Pakistani government has torn the Taliban apart in the North, but most importantly, the Afghan Taliban and the Pakistani Taliban are not the same organisation. The Taliban are being pressed hard here and they are now more secure in the rugged afghan countryside, which they largely control. They are blocked off and surrounded here. While there is a constant threat of terror attacks, the actual chance of them actually getting their hands on a nuclear weapon are well below 0 I'd say. The issue is whether a Taliban style leader might force his way to power in Pakistan, but I doubt that too. There is too much opposition here for that and people don't trust fundos. The real question is, are the US and its allies willing to face and make the really difficult decisions that are needed in Afghanistan, including talking to their enemies. That is the question as I see it at least.

These are last pangs of pain before the death of pakistan taliban their tactics indicate their sense of insecurity. This exercise in chest-puffing has strengthened the Pakistani citizen's and military's resolve.

We must play our part in providing Pakistan millitary the equipment it has been long requesting; our Congress must act now and not doubt and clear Pentagon reccomendations in this regard.
It is time we put Karzai and India on notice to back off from supplying training and weapons to Masud Taliban mercenaries.

"War crazed criminals"? Do you need a reminder of the U.S. foreign policy record? There currently is the occupation of Iraq for fossil fuel energy security. There was the attack on it's own citizens on Sept. 11, 2001 (zeitgeistmovie.com). There was the Vietnam occupation to prohibit the spread of the People's Movement. There was the intervention in Korea against the People's Movement. Those were both cases of violent protection of capitalist business interests. There was the anticipated, yet not preempted/prevented bombing of Pearl Harbor that brought the U.S. into WW2. Then Prescott Bush helped fund the Nazi Party through the Union Bank in NYC, and he supplied the planes that leveled London with fuel through Standard Oil. There was the sinking of the Lusitania, that the U.S. knew would take place and never warned passengers, that brought the states into WW1, with exorbitant profits for the corporate elite.

For priors, of foreign military imperialism, the U.S. is cited by the renowned author of "Huckleberry Finn", Samuel Langhorne Clemens (a.k.a. Mark Twain). His statement in the New York Herald in 1900 vividly portrays the real account of the American Empire, and it has since overtly increased it's corporate guided international militancy. He wrote, "I bring you the stately matron named Christendom, returning bedraggled, besmirched, and dishonored from pirate raids in Kiao-Chou, Manchuria, South Africa, and the Philippines, with her soul full of meanness, her pocket full of boodle, and her mouth full of pious hipocrisies."

And in the origination of the United States, as we now know them, there were thousands of treaties ignored, and many millions of natives given no ultimatum to genocide. They were second class citizens if they entered the European society. The 50 billion people stolen from Africa were victims of the same "might is right" fascist oligarchies that used religion as a wedge to divide and conquer the planet's indigenous people. The global oligarchy, in which we all become slaves to an enforced agenda, or we become motivated from its propaganda (bling), is what is supported and facilitated by encouraging and glorifying violence.

Don't support war, bring all the troops home!
