Wardsboro, Vt. hosts the oldest Fourth of July street fair and parade in the State.
The day starts at nine in the morning. Craft booths, pies, strawberry shortcake, books, etc are all for sale. There will be an art, quilt and flower shows.
The parade starts at 10am and consists of floats, antique cars, fire engines, and tractors, bands and marching bands, which help rouse the crowds for a perfect traditional Fourth of July Celebration. It marches through the town, up into a field at the end of the road, turns round and marches back through, so you get to see the parade two times!
When you get hungry check out the hotdog booth and Chicken BBQ.
The afternoon culminated with an auction of goods donated to the cause which helps raise further money for the church and public library.
This small town puts on a fair that can't be missed.
