Polio campaign starts in only two subdivisions of Khyber Agency

LANDIKOTAL: Dr. Sher Khan, Khyber Agency polio in charge, has said that ninety-one thousands children would be vaccinated in the polio drive starting from 12th of October.

Talking to reporters in Jamrud on Sunday Dr. Sher Khan said that two hundreds and ninety-nine mobile and fixed teams along with supervisors have already been deployed to several points in Khyber Agency.To a question,Dr. Sher Khan said that teams would be sent to Bara subdivision after the conclusion of military operation to vaccinate children.

A prominent elder Malik Sardar Khan in Jamrud Tehsil formally inaugurated the polio campaign. Assistant political agent Reham Khattak Agency surgeon Dr. Ayub Khan were also present on the occasion. Talking to locals assistan political agent Jamrud Reham Khattak urged the locals to cooperate with the polio teams to completely sweep up the lethal virus from the area.
