Champion’s League T-20 Cricket

It is strange to find that no one in allvoices has bothered to file any report so far on the Champions League T-20 cricket that is currently being played in different venues in India. Is it because there are no big names among the participating teams? Or – is it because the players have never been heard of before, and are inducted into the team just to make up the numbers? Is it a result of the ‘too-much-cricket’ phenomenon? It was inaugurated on 8th October 2009 with much fanfare in the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Lalit Modi of the IPL fame was seen at the inauguration ceremony. He had a cynical smile on his face – the reason is now obvious. The Champions League T-20 has not come up to expectations of the cricket lovers.
