The USA defeated Honduras 3-2 to clinch its spot in next year's 2010 World Cup to be held in South Africa. Landon Donovan actually showed up and scored the winning goal against Honduras, who are now fighting for the last guaranteed bid with Costa Rica with one game left to play. Right now, I feel sympathetic towards the people of Honduras because the country is still dealing with the Zelaya crisis, and this loss piles on to the emotional stress that the people are dealing with. USA doesn't even care about soccer. The game was not shown live on any of the sports networks. College football reigns supreme in the USA on Saturday nights during the autumn. However, I do congratulate the USA men's soccer team for making it to the World Cup. Hopefully, they won't choke like they did in 2006.

This was a great win for the U.S. And a lot of people care about soccer in the U.S. Just because the game wasn't on TV doesn't mean U.S. dont care about soccer and Donovan shows up every single game for the U.S. Take a look at his stats.

Donovan does not show up every game. He never shows up against Mexico. He lost all credibility with me when he ripped on David Beckham because there is no need to rip on David Beckham. The entire world knows that Beckham is a scrub who was good 10 years ago.
