Twenty years ago a new animated program hit the airwaves on FOX that featured characters with yellow skin, an under-achiever bad boy son, a musically inclined sister, and a pacifier sucking baby girl as the children of a stay at home mom and a rather lovable if inept father. The show was called "The Simpsons".
Hundreds of episodes later the stay at home mom - Marge - is stepping out in a big way; on the cover of Playboy Magazine! The November issue, wihich will be available on October 16, will feature Marge Simpson on the cover, a centerfold spread, and a fact sheet with an interview.
Playboy officials will not reveal exactly how much "skin" Marge will reveal, but they say it is racy. While Marge may not have the figure of Jessica Rabbit ("Who Framed Roger Rabbit"), Playboy says the "toon star" does have something to offer.
Over the past few years Playboy has seen a significant drop in subscribers and hopes that the appearance of Marge Simpson will appeal to younger fans.
