Social Networking? What's In It For Me!

Winning Friends and Freeing People

$10 doesn't go very far if you are the only one donating it, in fact if you are trying to save lives and help people to become happier $10 won't even buy you a bus ticket out the cow pie you are trapped in. I have about 300 in my personal friends list but I hesitate to invite them to Invisible Youth Network though some would be interested.

Then I got to thinking about social networking and the differences between social networking and trading on friendships. They sure aren't the same, but when I was a young bewildered kid trying to escape my family and getting state schooled instead which was as bad or as worse as what I was trapped in already.. Well Damn It, I traded on friendship, I begged, I borrowed, I stole, I blackmailed, I extorted, I did what I needed to do in order to avoid the twin demons of family and government.. I failed at my task and so spent many years in jails and mental hospitals..

Sure people say the parents don't own the children but in fact they do, when you are trying to escape, the police come get you and take you back home where you get stomped on and the BS continues just as it was before but now it's worse!

So when I finally got to where I had a little bit of control I started to think about ways to set children free. No parents, no government.. those, the family and the state, are both coercive in the name of survival and that's the standard that traps children into overwhelming terror with no exit. No wonder so many try to kill themselves. I tried about 30 times and failed because I didn't want to die, I just wanted the abuse to stop.

So I kept looking for a solution. A solution that can be reproduced. It took a very long time, first there had to be a value based banking and monetary system. There wasn't one, so I invented one, then there needed to be a delivery system.. I looked and looked and looked some more finally I figured out that it had to be a person to person communication based delivery system.. Multi-Level Marketing "MLM" fit the bill so I tried to get it too work.. it didn't. People who are successful at MLM are people who come to MLM from some other sales job, they are people who have learned to sell people stuff, MLM is just another set of stuff to sell, no problem MLM people can do that. But for those people who aren't professional sales people?

Well we are reduced to trading on friendship and are seen as dreadful opportunists, soon we have no friends left.

Then the internet came along, man I was happy when I learned about HTML now communication could be visual as well as textual. I got right in, just jumped right over UNIX and other text based languages and started creating webpages to present my ideas.. That was great but most people couldn't understand what I was talking about "Toxic Families" "Abusive Social Welfare Systems" Hey this was the 1990s, Democrats are in control everything is wonderful.

So I kept thinking and working and creating and learning until at last social networking systems started to appear. Hurray I said to myself "Stuffs Getting Better". Almost getting better because if you spent much time social networking then you got lost jobs, over caffinated brains and more destructed families... but for those who could afford the time social networking upgraded communication enormously. Now FaceBook is a great demonstration of that principle in action.

FaceBook, MySpace and the other social networking sites didn't go far enough.. if you're stuck in a bad place you still got no way out.. the solution started to show up a couple of years ago when one or two social networking sites started to pay people to use them.

The first few didn't work very well and weren't all that profitable because they were created by people like me but who understood computer programs.. techno geeks.. you can't have a "get paid to social network site" without people who understand technology but they aren't professional sales people and a lot of the time they are so busy earning a living they don't have time to generate a large customer base. it takes a large customer base in order to for a "get paid to social network" site off the ground.

Finally social networking, computer technology and Mult-Level Marketing came together with micro-payment systems, internet based advertising companies and get paid to social network sites..

At last it became possible for people to earn a living while doing what came natural to them as individuals... had such a system been available when I was a child at the end of the second world war my life would have been much different.. but that's another story..

Here is my latest sales letter for PeopleString it's based on what I wrote above.

There are people who specialize in Multi-Level Marketing "MLM", they usually came to MLM from some other sales field so have learned to be effective sales people. OTOH I have gone from one multi-level marketing company after another and have never been successful at it because I haven't been able to develop the necessary skills. I was really relieved when I found PeopleString and discovered it paid just for being on line, no special skills required. Then when I went to the webinars I found they were conducted by MLM people. It almost scared me off.

I just sat here in front of my computer thinking "Wow, I just stepped into another cow pie!"

I took me some time to figure out "Wow" is a good thing, not a bad thing. In order to pay people to social network you need to have a large number of them using your network otherwise there is no incentive for advertisers to buy ads from you.

MLM people are really great at getting people to buy into an idea, they are oriented toward making money so when they get involved they reach out to people who want to make money. This creates a situation where the first people in to your "get paid to network" company are out for the money. That's Great.. but now the social network portal is open, we have to build the socializing function because the better the social network works for our friends and neighbors the more people will get involved and the happier we will be. There are two videos I think will illustrate my point.

Yes, Fifi that's what many people think social networking sites are about, I don't think that way myself. I'm retired I don't really need money. I do however see a lot of problems around me, mostly problems that money can't solve and people who are just in it for the money are seldom of any help, mostly people who are just after the money misunderstand what it is most people are about.

Hello Sharon, I have been in several that had minimum monthly requirements that forced a person to make sales in order to break even. Not being a good salesman I ended up with product I couldn't sell and with more product than I personally could use. Of course it was my fault I couldn't sell stuff but I really hated not being able to get the product I wanted and thought I needed. It was really difficult for me to come to terms with the fact that I would always be a flunky in support of someone else's dreams and never be able to achieve anything above bare survival for myself.

I think most people fall into this same trap, at least I know a lot of people who have and I'm really happy technological convergence is solving this problem.
