Office Wedding Doesn't Disappoint

The long awaited wedding of Pam Beesly and Jim, aka pb and j, finally occurred on this week’s episode of The Office. Although, it’s the funniest show since Sienfeld, I was a bit worried about this event. Pam and Jim have a great history of getting to this point. Jim has been in love with her since the first episode but for the first two years she was engaged to another guy. Then during the third season she broke it off but he was with Karen. Although Karen was great everyone knew Jim should be with Pam. They finally got together in the fourth season. Jim was ready to propose during the last episode of that season, but had his moment of glory unintentionally stolen away by Andy, who spontaneously proposed to Angela moments before Jim was about to pop the question.

They finally got engaged during the next season and found out that Pam was pregnant during the last season finale. In my view their love story has been handled much better then other great TV romances like Sam and Diane, Ross and Rachel, or David Addison and Maddie Hayes.

Unlike those and just about every other TV super couple, Pam and Jim have been happy pretty much ever since they got together, which is the way it should be. They deserved a great wedding. Could even the brilliant writers of The Office come through with a wedding that was both sentimental and also lived up to the zany humor of the show that we’re all used to?

Well I’m relieved to say that they came through with flying colors. The special hour long episode and wedding were hysterical, but they also managed to make it extremely heart warming for Pam and Jim. This episode will make you believe in true love again. I don’t want to give anything away but if you have not seen it yet go to nbc.com or hulu.com right now and watch it!
