Patricia Keezer, an officer of a Detroit bank has been awarded a jail sentence of one year and one day – she tried to be a modern day Robin Hood. Over a period of eight years, she had siphoned off nearly $340,000 USD. The 53-year old began to dole out her largesse in 2000 – she would give $2000 for repair of cars to the needy. She thought of herself as Robin Hood of Sherwood Forest and she put that as an excuse for stealing from the coffers of the bank – she said she had used the money to help out the needy. Investigations revealed that she had not used it for luxury nor had she stashed it away in any place.
