Pakistan sports board has dual policy for sports in NWFP.

Peshawar ( 9 October 2009 ) Pakistan sports board has different policy for sports events in nwfp province, at one side they worried about law and order situation of provincial capital Peshawar but another side they encourage sports activities in peshwar.

In 2004 Pakistan sports board start work in Gymnasium at Regi Lalma area of peshwar which is near to Hayat Abad. The current provincial minister of sports Aqil Shah and General (R) Arif Hassn inaugurate the stone breaking ceremony.

That time these people says its will complete in 5 years and after that different games will be organize in Regi Lalma. But after some time Pakistan sports board show the reason to government work is hard, because of law in order situation in Peshawar, so we are stop the work and later on when situation change we will work again here. But until now 2009 the law and order situation is not change and the work stop at Gymnasium in Regi Lalma town ship.

The other side Pakistan sports board encourages the sports event in provincial capital Peshawar. 31 national games will be take part in Peshawar from 15 November. In this event Prime Minister of Pakistan yousaf Raza Gillani will chief guest of the opening day of 31 national games and PSB encourage the players to participate in 31 national games.

When asked about the Regi Lalma Gymnasium construction, the Director NWFP Iltaf Umarzai, confirm that PSB stop the work in Regi Lalma because of Law & order situation , but wd don’t want to show it the people because player from the other province will not come to participate in 31 national games.
