NINGRAHAR: Dozens of Afghan teenagers went missing due to the fear of arrest warrants issued by authorities; human rights activists termed it violation of human rights, a survey revealed.

Hundreds of Afghan adolescents are grinding in the jails for the crime done by their parents or other family members. There are several others of the same fate had been went missing of their homes for the last several years, a survey done in Ningrahar revealed.

Muhammad Naeem S/O Abdul Wakeel resident of pacheer district in Ningrahar province is one them who left his home since 2001 along with his mother are still missing, a neighbor living right next to his home said.

“Abdul Wakeel, the father of Muhammad Naeem was a Talibans’ affiliated during the Taliban regime was escaped from Ningrahar of his home when US forces invaded Afghanistan”. A neighbor Baryali Hasrat confirmed. He said that sever times US and Afghan forces came to his home and searched his house but they were disappeared since they came. It was also disclosed that Muhammad Naeem had been with his mother in Pakistan for some time but later Muhammad Naeem went missing from there due to the fear of arrest.

Afghan police had searched the teenage son of Wakeel but fortunately his mother took him to Pakistan, the neighbor added.

Ningrahar police said that not only Naeem but also several others were also wanted to police who, the police claimed, would be brought to the justice. Afghan police said that they do not know the human rights violation but only obey the orders come to them by high command.

An ad, given by Ningrahar police to the arrest of Muhmmmad Naeem, was also published in the “Ningrahar daily” on September, 29,2008.

Social activists and human rights organizations showed great concerns over the inhuman authority using by Afghan police. Several Afghan based international and national organizations on the requests of anonymity said that they are struggling for the safe release of the teenagers who had been in jails for the last several years. They also claimed to convince police department to withdraw the cases filed in the past against the under age children instead they had done no crime.

It pertinent to be mention here that Afghanistan is the country where every official use discretionally powers to maintain himself in the organization.

It must be frightening to be hunted down and jailed for something your parents did.

Dear Friend, it's disheartening to hear this. But first, what happen that the authorities can't go for the true culprits instead of their wards? I agree absolutely with those who're condemning the abuse of other peoples' rights.... The authorities needs to be called to order, and again, most people who engage in voilents should be given moral lessons and value system re-orientation. Oh! what a peaceful world, so traumatized by bigots, who neither care about life nor the vanity of this world?

It's a pity that in this modern age, people in authority still go ahead to violate other peoples rights with impunity. The people involved should bury their faces in shame. But again, those who engage in violence of all sorts need some values re-orientation and moral lessons.
