ISLAMABAD, Oct 6 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has described approval of Kerry-Lugar Bill as significant success of Pakistan government saying that it is for the first time that the United States has extended support at a democratic government in Pakistan. Prime Minister was addressing parliamentary party meeting of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and coalition partners here at the Parliament House on Tuesday.

PPP MNA Yasmin Rehman told journalists after the meeting that the Prime Minister said earlier certain international forces had supported the dictators in Pakistan, so this maiden support for an elected government is mega achievement.

He further said that the government is ready to debate over on the Kerry-Lugar Bill in case the opposition submits adjournment motion in the House. Similarly, the government was also ready to discuss National Reconciliation Order (NRO) in the Parliament, he added.

He said the government believes in decency and politics of national reconciliation and at present there is no political prisoner in the country rather the government released all political prisoners and withdrew cases against political leaders.

Premier urged the members of the allied parties to take full interest in the House proceedings and point out public problems to seek recommendations for their solutions
