There have been several letters to local newspapers here for several days imploring the people concerned in the U.K. to issue them their U.K.Visas without further delay. Those that have been affected are students who had to join their colleges and universities in September. However, their visas have not yet reached them and they are missing their classes.

According to DAWN,the foreign ministry official are really annoyed and to cool them off and explain the reason for delay, the British Secretary for Home Affairs ,Alan Johnson will be arriving in Islamabad on Monday. He will be accompanied by the Defence Secretary who has other matters that need to be discussed.

The main purpose of their visit is to meet the Prime Minister of Pakistan,Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani and other officials in order to diffuse the tension caused by the present situation.

It is estimated that 200,000 visas were lying in the British High Commission in Islamabad whereas the process was taking its own pace by U.K.border force in Abu Dhabhi. The main reason given is back log of applications.

Those who are suffering are students, business travellersand those educationists attending international conferences.

It is hoped matters are solved between the two governments and visas are promptly issued without further delay.
