Death Toll in Indonesia Surmounting Quickly

Padang : Indonesia | about 1 month ago

Natural disasters have wrecked absolute havoc on the Asian continent the past few weeks and as rescue workers furiously search for people, the death toll seems to be constantly climbing. The initial figures that were released by the the Indonesia government pertaining to the death toll were dramatically understated and it is now expected to double in size.

The Indonesian airport is currently being flooded by volunteer doctors, nurses, search and rescue experts, cleanup crews as well as with food, tents, medicine, clean water and generators. With the Indonesian villages and towns looking like a bulldozer drove through a million times over; the cards seem to be stacked against any civilians that have yet to be found.

The reason lost or buried civilians are likely to die where they are is deeply rooted in the fact that the Indonesia government has reacted incredibly slow to the devestation. From people watching the events unfold from the outside, its not hard to see that the government has no sense of urgency or regard for its people. This is utterly pathetic and it begs the question when do outside countries intervene and take charge in hopes of finding and recovering buried people. Blessed are those who are praying for help!

Help has arrived from Australia but dead people are constantly being found
mainly buried under tonnes of rubble and garbage. Whole mounrains and villages have collapsed into the valley below and roads are impassable so
they are hampering the aid from getting through. The Indonesian scientists
are predicting a much greater earthquake to destroy and level the whole
Island of Sumatra into the sea. So like the Lemuria and Atlantis of old,
good bye forever by the islands slipping below the sea. 4/10/2009.
