Iran’s Nuclear Rights and the UNSC Bully

- Dr. Abdul Ruff Colachal

[Unipolarity, unilateralism and double-standards are the hallmarks of the US-led western civilization. Israel’s missiles face Mideast, Europe and elsewhere but the Western rogue states have not objected to that. Very recently, Iran has test-fired a series of medium- and longer-range missiles that put Israel, parts of Europe and US bases in the Gulf within potential striking range. But this has been viewed as a threat to Israel and Europe]

I- Western Unilateralism

In a world controlled by GST, global state terrorists, Iran for quite some time has been under fascist pressure from the western Evil Axis powers. Accused of acquiring nukes to wind up the globe, Iran insists that all its nuclear facilities are for peaceful energy purposes and rejects accusations from the US and others that it is seeking a nuclear weapon. Against the background UNSC bosses declaring their ultimate rights to anything with weak powers, obstructing to third world nations to attain legitimate nuclear technology, Iran tested missiles on the 26 Sept which are capable of striking targets in Israel. The UNSC nuclear gang opposes nuclear weapons and technology of Third world, especially the Islamic world even when nuclear energy is accepted as best option against climate change. The White House called the move "provocative" but Iran's foreign ministry said the tests were merely part of an annual military drill, and were not a reaction to the nuclear crisis.

Iran test comes days after Tehran's own disclosure of a second uranium enrichment plant. The medium-range Shahab-1 and 2 missiles with a range of 300 to 700km (186 to 434 miles) were tested. The short-range Tondar-69 and Fateh-110 type, with a range of up to 170km (100 miles), were also tested. The Revolutionary Guards have already tested the Shahab-3 and Sajjil rockets, believed to have ranges of up to 2,000km (1,240 miles), potentially permitting them to reach Israel and US bases in the Gulf. The surface-to-surface Sajjil is a new, two-stage missile using solid fuel, which is considered to give a more accurate delivery than liquid fuel rockets. It has been tested by Iran twice, in November 2008 and May 2009. Iran's enemies might be most worried by the test-firing of the Sajjil missile. It is more advanced, and multiple stage rockets offer the potential for longer ranges. The Shahab-3 and Sajjil rockets are currently believed to be capable of reaching not only Israel and US bases in the Gulf, but also parts of Europe. But Iran's foreign ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi said the missile tests were merely part of an annual military drill, and were not a reaction to the nuclear crisis.

As usual, Western powers plus fascist Israel have condemned Iran for test-firing its most advanced long-range missiles, with the White House calling the move "provocative". But the UK said the tests should not distract from international talks with Iran on its nuclear programme later this week and Russia urged restraint. The US has demanded "immediate and unfettered access" for International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors.

France called the tests a "provocation" and called on Tehran to immediately stop "these deeply destabilising activities". British Foreign Secretary David Miliband called the tests "reprehensible" but said they should not distract attention from the talks. Iran was due to hold crucial talks with the five UN Security Council members plus Germany in Geneva on October 01 on a wide range of security issues, including its nuclear programme. Iranian representatives met in Geneva on Oct 01 for talks with the five permanent Security Council seat holders - the UK, China, France, Russia and the US - plus Germany. They raised the prospect of new, tougher sanctions against Iran if October 01 meeting with the so-called P5+1 yields little progress. West expected Iran to agree to immediate unfettered access of the nuclear fuel facility.

Iran has reiterated, rightly so, its "nuclear rights" during meeting with the five permanent UN Security Council members. Tehran also said that enrichment levels would only be high enough to make nuclear fuel, not a bomb. Iran said there would be no bargaining about Iran's rights to nuclear technology and said Tehran had no plans to abandon its nuclear activities, "even for a second". The head of the country's atomic energy body Ali Akbar Salehi also ruled out a suspension of Iran's nuclear enrichment program. But Salehi said he would set out when and how inspectors could view Iran's second uranium enrichment plant.

Again, Iran is under increasing pressure to co-operate fully over its nuclear ambitions - particularly since the self revelation of a previously undisclosed uranium enrichment plant. Meanwhile, Iran revealed to IAEA its second nuclear plant near Qom on 21 September. The IAEA had requested "specific information and access to the facility as soon as possible" after receiving the letter from Tehran admitting to the existence of the plant. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has insisted that the plant, near the holy city of Qom, does not breach UN regulations and says it is open for inspection by UN experts. But leaders of the US, Britain and France accuse Tehran of keeping the plant secret in breach of UN rules. (US, UK, France, China, Russia and Germany) Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the tests "worrisome", but called for restraint.

The US, France and the U.K. presented detailed evidence about the plant to the International Atomic Energy Agency. Under pressure from NATO allies and some semi-Islamic Arab nations, US President Barack Obama has hinted at pursuing tougher sanctions against Tehran if progress over the crisis is not made. They argue that after Iran got wind of the U.S. intelligence and sought to pre-empt possible consequences by informing the supposed nuclear watchdog in Vienna about what Tehran called a "pilot plant" for civilian use. Russia recently signaled it might be prepared to soften its opposition to further sanctions. China, which is also a permanent Security Council member, has said such pressure would not be effective. China called for restraint ahead of the talks. A spokeswoman for the country's foreign ministry, Jiang Yu, said she hoped that there would be a "relaxation of the situation". China supports the maintenance of the international non-proliferation regime and upholds the proper handling of the issue through negotiations.

As before, the west plus Israel all want tougher sanctions. Administration officials say U.S. intelligence has known about the secret underground plant near the city of Qom for years. West says the any agreement would also serve nations fearing that Iran is interested in ultimately further enriching its stockpile into weapons-grade uranium for warheads. Further enriching the fuel for the research reactor would use up most of Iran's 3,300 pound (1,500 kilogram-) domestic stockpile of low-enriched uranium, which Tehran has amassed in sufficient amounts to build a bomb. Iran sought other hidden sites after the Natanz facility was discovered in 2002, and now officials say they suspect there are other facilities too.

The western hawks are eager the Iranians do not get more time and cover. Working on anti-Islamic disorders and destabilizations, the Western Axis of Evils and their strategic rogues are ill-focused on Islamic Iran. Neocons foolishly argue Iran got the boost in late 2007, when a US national intelligence estimate concluded that Iran had stopped its nuclear weapons program in 2003 and kept it frozen. These Christian-Jewish nuts argue that Iran is still nearing its nuclear objectives and the U.S. spy agencies wrongly concluded about Iran’s nukes manufacture having been stopped and they reached this dubious conclusion while apparently knowing about the site near Qom.

II – A Funny World

The Iran-West encounter appeared to add to the positive atmosphere. Iran could use the agreement to argue that the six nations trying to engage it on its nuclear program acknowledge its right to enrich uranium, if only at the very low levels used for nuclear fuel of a reactor network it plans to build. The UNSC-5 remains formally committed to seeking a full freeze of Tehran's enrichment activities. This is a key international goal because enrichment can produce both fuel for nuclear reactor and weapons-grade uranium for warheads. Perhaps the most significant development of the day was a 45-minute one-on-one meeting between US under Secretary of State William Burns and Iran's senior nuclear negotiator, Saaed Jalili. It was the first direct U.S. negotiations with Iran since Washington severed relations in 1980. It also appeared to be concrete proof of Obama's commitment to engage Iran directly on nuclear and other issues — a sharp break from policy under the Bush administration. The IAEA said agency chief Mohamed ElBaradei had been invited to Iran to discuss nuclear issues.

Iran calls Israeli threat perceptions a cluster bluff. US wants a shield against Russia, but says it is afraid of Iran and hence the need for a shield. Iran accepted a demand at the talks in a villa outside Geneva to allow U.N. inspectors into its covertly built enrichment plant, in a move that appeared to defuse tensions that had been building for weeks. Western big rogues say the Islamic republic had also agreed to allow Russia to take some of its enriched uranium and enrich it to higher levels to fuel its research reactor in Tehran, a potentially significant move that would show greater flexibility by both sides. But Iran said: "No, no!". Western nations stand exposed here.

The western “democracies” that are killiing innocnet peoplein Islmac world and stealing their resources illegalay are talking loudly a steady “erosion of support for western positions on human rights” in the General Assembly. Neocns are terribly weakened now. Possibly, the mental image of Iranians (“bearded mullahs”) watching spinning centrifuges in a secret nuclear-facility terrifies the western swines and hard hawks. Like like jngle monkies, western civilized evils the revelation of the second Iranian nuclear site is very helpful to US efforts to ratchet up the pressure on Iran. They dream that the government in Tehran may now agree to allow international inspections of the new site. If Iranian co-operation is insufficient, as it is likely to be, it will be easier to get support for new UN sanctions. They think the economic and political situation in Iran is unstable enough to hold out some hope that extra international pressure could force a change in policy.

Western media are full of warnings for Obama as,skng him to stick to Bushdom rules and kill Muslims. Obama cannot afford to sit out the Iranian showdown lest he be seen as weak and ineffectual. Middle East scuttlebutt also has the Saudi kingdom turning a blind eye to Israel aircraft bypassing Iraq and refueling over Saudi Arabia. The Neocon nuts suggest that only unilateral American policy that the US could adopt towards Iran would be military intervention and Bush Jr. had his own answer to the question of global governance – the G1, leaivng other 7 sideways when it comes ot looting anther Islamic antions. Under Bush, the US was quite prepared to act alone, even when it wasn’t necessary. But unilateral American action cannot win any war and will not deliver a climate-change regime or an effective package of international sanctions on Iran.

The efforts of Western rogue states to bring both Russia and China on board have faield badly. They got reversal with the Chinese, in particular, who are eager to protect a burgeoning energy relationship with Iran. Obama is a believer – and the UN remains the only international body with the power to impose comprehensive international sanctions and to decide whether a war is legal. The Security Council, however, is often blocked because the Russians and the Chinese remain extremely wary of US-inspired interventionism on everything from Darfur to Iran.

More than USA it is the Zionist regime that interests the western analysts for support. That is how CIA-Mossad terror gangs operate around the world with strategic nucleus in Islamic world. One fact is proven now: that is USA is the only super power none can attack. Israel wants Binyamin Netanyahu that any Israeli fighter-bombers flying over Iraqi airspace on their way to bomb Iran would be shot down by U.S. which would fall prey to hundreds of missiles and rockets aimed at U.S. warships in the Gulf, to skullduggery by Hamas and Hezbollah throughout the Middle East . This week Iran 's maneuvers of well-publicized barrages of short- and medium-range missiles were designed to demonstrate the harm Iran could inflict on its own. Western hawks say now "an Israeli or U.S. military strike now, or a nuclear Tehran soon"; An Iranian bomb, as we did with China 's when Mao Tse Tung boasted China would emerge victorious from a nuclear conflict with the United States , and with the Soviet bomb when Nikita Khrushchev bragged the Soviet Union would bury the United States . The Neocons are testing the collective will of the international community by creating false alms about Iran and coercing USA into another dirty war with Iran.

Israel wants ro control Mideast and to rule the entire world too indirectly thorugh Mossad effects. CIA lends support for Zionist reigme and its genocides. It is all very depressing. Israel has a long history of lying and cheating about it policies and actions in Palestine, its nuclear assets, but was quick demand invasion or sanctions on Iran when it informed the nuclear watchdog that it has been secretly building another plant to manufacture nuclear fuel. Neocons are back with their demands for invasion and economic terrorism on Iran. They joke that it provides one more compelling reason why the United States and other major powers must be ready to quickly adopt--and enforce--tough new sanctions if negotiations fail to persuade Tehran to abandon its nuclear ambitions. Funny Rats!

III- A Word: Much Ado about Nothing!

Unlike other sciences, social sciences do not expect a hypothesis to be marked with any categorical statements, for, by nature human societies are characterized by inherent fluctuations that disallow any scope for totally categorical assertions. However, let me venture into a categorical statement which could be proved productive in course of time: neither the super power USA nor Zionist Israel would dare invade Islamic Iran. I so say not just because any attempt to attack Iran could be counterproductive and disastrous for the invaders. Unlike Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq, where the US-led terror wars are being unleashed, another war with Iran would wreck the region, escalating the war into a world war. It is primarily because President Obama, unlike his predecessors, is not a war-monger and not for war of any type to showcase the US power which has been proved unique.

UNSC is not at all bothered about any real disarmament, all it aims at is to deny nuclear facility to a select few nations, mainly Iran but Iran shall have it in due course, if not already have it now. If the USA knows about the winning posture of Iran and sure of impeding disaster for the invaders, Israel or USA or NATO, then why do they create psycho fear in the world through the nasty media about war phobia? That is the arms trade strategy. It's not clear why the western rogues even bothered to make that effort. The past decade of international efforts to monitor, control and sanction the Iranian nuclear program is a story of fecklessness. Iran's nuclear weapon efforts started many years ago, but it was exposed by an Iranian opposition group in exile, not by IAEA inspectors who've been allowed in the country since 1992. Despite this violation of Iran's treaty commitments, the world community has since done nothing to punish, much less stop, Iran's nuclear program.

Apart form UNSC-5, several UNSC members also have nukes. Israeli nukes are also OK for the UNSC rogues. In exploitation of the existing great Islamic divide, the roguish Neocons insist on American unilateralism and firm actions in state terrorism. On the evidence of his Presidency so far, Obama will uphold the disarmament agenda and would not let the harsh Zionist or fascist reality interfere with his disarmament goals. President Obama appreciates "teachable moments" especially on arms control theory and practice. The President is on record having said he seeks "a world without nuclear weapons" before the U.N. General Assembly. He called for a new arms control treaty and won Security Council support for a vague resolution on proliferation. Iran showed the preparedness of Iran if any rogue state attacked it but the determined western rogues think about treaties being a total waste. Israel is unnecessarily flexing its weak muscles for devastating response from Tehran.

For Russia, it is business as usual. Islamic world shuld have Islamic Security Orgnization to defned Islam and Muslim naitons and eery genune Muslim in this world, terroirzed by GSTs. If the major powers can establish a united front and force a change in Iranian behaviour, it would be a triumph for the co-operative internationalism that underpins Obama’s foreign policy. The question is whether the Islamic world and international community plus the world’s leaders can rise to the occasion to stop the ugly barbaian wars by the western rogue states. It is time Israeli and Bushdom rogues are put in cages along wht Neocon terribles as in zooparks and tried for inhuman global crimces -committed directly and through other agnecies.

As a sovereign state, Iran has every right to pursue any nuclear options the wish; as an equally sovereign state, Israel has the same rights.

Based on past statements by Iranian officials, can you give me one reason why anyone in either the West, or the Middle East should believe Iran has peaceful intentions?

The problem with Iran is that nobody wants to attack Iran. Most of the oil in the world is in Iran; everyone in the world wants to drive their cars without having the gas prices skyrocket. Iran needs to stop being paranoid and scrap the nuclear plan. Iran doesn't want to go to war with any country anyway because Iran has never won a war since the country changed its name from Persia.

There is more oil under the the north shore of Alaska than there is in Iran, and some of it is already drilled and piped. The US certainly doesn't need Iranian (or Iraqi) oil.

We need to develop sustainable energy. Sustainable means that it doesn't run out. Unfortunately it tends to be more expensive, at this stage, than oil. This is because oil is basically free energy. All you have to do is get it. Its energy has been stored for millions of years and is easily released by burning. Of course there is a lot of oil in a few places still, but why do we want to burn through it in a couple of years? My parents taught me to be responsible and save for a rainy day. Squandering a last reserve of energy rich resources so that we can drive Hummers for a few more years is the height of irresponsibility. A true fiscal conservative would be intrinsically opposed.

There's enough oil under the United States alone, to last for more than 100 years. There are natural gas fields which are "alive" in that they are still producing methane, not merely storing it. I agree we need to find a better energy source, but until we do, fossil fuels are fine.

I'd like to see the US spend some R&D money perfecting the technology to use a rail gun to shoot nuclear waste into the sun. A rail gun is a device that fires projectiles using electromagnetic energy. We already have the technology. They require a lot of power, but nuclear energy produces a lot of power. If we didn't have to worry about the waste, it would solve a lot of problems.

There is a lot of oil in the ground, but not that much of it is cheaply extractable. The danger is not that we run out, but that the price of extracting it and the price of gasoline go up higher than America can afford. Remember how it was a few years ago when gas prices skyrocketed? It doesn't matter how much is in the ground. It matters how much it costs to get it out.

That rail gun idea is fascinating. What I would want to know is what if something goes wrong when it is being shot and the projectile makes it into the atmosphere but not into space? Is there a way to catch it before it smashes into the ground and contaminates a 50 mile radius?
Reply By firesisle firesisle | about 1 month ago
The oil in the north shore of Alaska is high grade, and readily available; it's mixed with natural gas; Alaska has 27 trillion cu.ft. of natural gas that has been discovered so far and at Prudhoe Bay alone, they pump a millions of cu. ft natural gas back into the ground to aid in oil recovery. The Barnett Shale in Texas has huge amounts of natural gas that has just recently become available with the development of horizontal drilling and new fractal techniques for extracting the gas. Believe me, there's plenty to go around and it's very available.

As for the rail gun, I think you could make the projectiles small enough that they would simply burn up on reentry. I'd have to do some research though...
