Indian base on the Moon

Welcome to Erlanger – the Indian base on the Moon. Encouraged by the success of the Moon mission, the scientists of ISRO have plans for Indians to settle on the Moon. The age-old joke might actually become true – the joke went: when Louis Armstrong landed on the Moon, the first things he saw were an Udipi restaurant selling idli and dosa and a tyre retreading shop of Malaylees. ISRO is confident that there is an abundant stock of ice in certain areas of the Moon and the plan envisages setting up base in a 15 square kilometer area where the feasibility of locating reserves of ice is the best. If it materializes, Indians would be the first to settle there – even before the Americans or other Nations. It might be wishful thinking but, a very rosy picture has been painted and if it works out, Indians would be sure to rejoice. Moreover, there is a abundant stocks of helium on the Moon and it happens to be costlier than Gold. Hence, Moon missions are definitely on.
