Somewhere It's Friday So It's Time To Play ODD ONE OUT

Paper clips

For those who haven't participated, we celebrate the end of the work week by playing this dumb game. You have to pick which one of the four "things" does not belong and tell what the other three have in common. Then I reveal the answer and winner(s) on Monday and give out a really neat prize. Okay, here goes:

1. Tomato 2. Rhubarb 3. Cucumber 4. Pumpkin

One doesn't belong and three have something in common. Besides being fun, it's educational, too.

Tomato is considered a fruit; the others are vegetables - pumpkins are a member of the squash family.

Since Ms. Fulghum answered it correctly, I will now answer it incorrectly. Tomato has the least amount of letters and it is what some people want to throw at me after reading some of my articles.

Who says that's wrong? Pumpkins are a little difficult to throw. :)

I'm going to help you out. According to my trivia book, the tomato has something in common with two of the others. So the odd one out isn't the tomato. According to my trivia book.

Well, nobody got it right. Sorry for being so late in giving the answer but I needed to spend a few days in research to make sure the following is correct.
The odd one out is Rhubarb. Tomatoes, cucumbers and pumpkins are fruits, because they have seeds. All fruits have seeds. Vegetables don't have seeds. But rhubarb is a member of the buckwheat family.
Yep, that's what my (I can't disclose the name) book says.
