Hypocrite: One who affects virtues or qualities one does not have.

This Copenhagen pilgrimage has truly taken the practice of arrogance and elitist smuggery to new heights. Michelle, “Our Belle” publicizes on the Whitehouse website that “as much of a sacrifice as people say this is for me (our Belle) or Oprah (real swell) or the president (Oh, Hell) to come for these few days…” rationalizing all their suffering is ultimately for the good of the children of Chicago. Please, may I have a list of the “people” accusing Michelle of sacrificing? While children in Chicago are beaten to death in the streets, the Obamas do the real sacrificing on their behalf? I guess a beer summit wouldn’t work with rival gangs. Bringing the Olympics to the ghettos of Chicago obviously is the next best thing. The muck doesn’t get much deeper than that.

Hypocritical acts attached to this venture are endless. The mere appearance of the Commander in Chief jet-setting to Copenhagen simultaneously to soldiers coming home in body bags from Afghanistan (the appropriate war) while his general, McCrystal, waits and waits and waits on an answer to a request over a month old is nothing short of criminal neglect. This ineptitude piled on to the arrogance of his wife, a woman who has benefited all her adult life from the sacrifice of other Americans for her ivy-league education, the education she used to flunk the Bar the first time, only to eventually pass and practice law for all of a nanosecond opting instead to ride her husband’s political coat tails along the corrupt avenues of Chicago. Fancy.

If anyone thinks this bid for the Olympics isn’t one ginormous payback to the Chi-town machine that delivered the Obamas to their throne, you are one naïve head bobber. The numbers are still being calculated but Valerie Jarrett, Chicago slum lord and presidential influence peddler second only to Rahm “the Fish head” Emmanuel, stands to make a staggering fortune off of the vast ghetto wastelands she will have leveled by taxpayers and developed by taxpayers to then make a pretty penny off the Olympic boondoggle.

Never mind that her personal holdings put her in a conflict of interest with her position in the Administration and the team lobbying for Chicago’s Olympic bid. Val has been given an official “Wave of Ethics”. Only in the world of Chicago politics would ETHICS be given a WAVE in order to “get ‘er done”. No wonder it’s the Windy City, with all those hands waving ethics night and day. The nifty thing is, even though Chicago (and probably the country) will lose money on the Olympics, Valerie will get insanely rich and not have to pay a dime especially if she listens to Charlie Rangel.

The number of Chicago hands in line for the profits are many, Daley, Axelrod, Emmanuel, and a slew of others have their chits thrown in the hat. And when tax dollars are concerned, the accounting becomes like a magic act. The money goes into the hat, Obama waves his magic wand, presto, taxpayers look in the hat, money gone. Obama flashes his signature smile as he rolls his black hat up his arm and back on his fuzzy little head. All for the good of the kids of Chicago. Don’t forget that point!

So let’s play a game. Let’s say Belle and Hell don’t have any personal ties to Chi-town, they honestly just want the games to come to the U.S. so we can celebrate our athletes and play host to the world. Great but did the presidential couple HAVE to go on separate planes? The cost in taxpayer funds and carbon dollars those dual presidential planes ran American taxpayers and the planet (cough-cough) are staggering. And just think of the carbon emissions that will be generated in Chi-town while building all the stuff for the Olympics? If Michelle and HubbO keep sacrificing at this rate, none of us will be able to breathe a breath of clean air before the next election. Hmmmm.

What would Van Jones say? Who cares now that he’s not a Czar anymore, right? Maybe he called the Obamas on their wasteful ways? That’s why he got the ax. Of course it is. It had nothing to do with the fact that he publicly announced his anti-white views, touted his radical communist beliefs along with his devotion to Black Liberation Theology. No, who’s troubled by minutia like that? Van probably dared to ask why the taxpayers are being told our energy prices will soar due to Obama’s Cap & Trade legislation but the Obamas do nothing to set an example of how to live “greener”. The only green they adhere to is the green money of tax dollars they spend with abandon. I know, I sound jealous. I admit, I’m still bitter over that pricey New York Date Night. It’s my own fault for spending my “date money” on my kids’ Catholic school education instead of sending them to the taxpayer funded public schools.

And speaking of the public schools…the hypocrisy trail continues to the classroom. I have a beef with that Arne Duncan, U.S. Secretary of Education. Arne, with Obama’s blessing, scratched the voucher system in D.C even though parents begged for vouchers to continue. This was a successful program offering kids living in the worst D.C. public school districts a chance at a private school education. Even though Obama would never send his little darlings to a D.C. public school, (they go to a pricey private school in the area), obviously the poor black kids are not meant to go to private schools. They have a more important mission, to fill the seats in public schools so that the Teachers Union can qualify for more money to line their pockets with. Every D.C. kid in the voucher program meant money missing from the coffers of the Teachers’ Union and we all know who means more to Obama. Union, yes, poor black kid, no (unless they are poor black kids in Chicago needing their housing project leveled to make way for Olympic venues).

The public school hypocrisy does not end there with Obama. For some unfathomable reason, Obama has chosen Kevin Jennings as his Safe School Czar. For those who don’t know Mr. Jennings, he comes highly touted as an educator according to Arne (no voucher for poor black kids) Duncan. Mr. Jennings is on the record as advocating homosexuality in schools, has written about his past drug abuse, his contempt for religion (that’s open mindedness for ya), and recounted in detail an incident when an underage student confided to Jennings that he was having sex with older men in bus station bathrooms. Jennings did not report this to anyone, instead offering the young boy advice on using condoms during future acts. Jennings now says he regrets his handling of this, claiming his own youth, being 24 at the time, as the cause for his lack of adult responsibility. This is the most disgusting, hypocritical excuse I’ve heard from the Obama circle yet.

Can anyone imagine the same excuse being handed out by a 24 year-old Catholic priest? The outrage would be deafening and RIGHTLY SO! Yet this damaged creature, Kevin Jennings, a man obviously in great need of therapy, is handed a high level, high paid position in the Obama Administration with the focus being the SAFETY OF CHILDREN IN OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS. Hypocrisy, straight up (no pun intended).

Are all of these contradictory actions and choices the result of arrogance, ignorance, perversion, evil or some toxic combination at work in the judgment of Barack Obama? There is a pattern here. The list of troubling deceptions, half-truths, and ala Joe Wilson, lies is long and grows by the news cycle. Keeping up with them is a full-time job. Like Obama being against torture but rendition is still a-okay! As long as we can hand a person off to someone else to torture and water board, that's fine. Appointing Tim "Me No Pay Tax" Geitner as Da Man who oversees who pays their taxes? My head hurt over that one but unfortunately it was just the beginning.

I kept waiting for Obama to go line by line through the budget cutting ALL PORK like he promised. Silly me, he meant he'd do that in his second term, remember, Bush really messed this joint up. It's going to take O years to get things straight again. And as for no lobbyists in his administration, he actually meant hobbyists. Obama is dead set against giving any taxpayer funds to hobbyists, especially in the sort of economy Bush left us with. Maybe that’s why the MSM tends to simply ignore all these little inconsistencies? Reporting each and every one is enough to make an objective reporter’s liberal head spin. Besides, who wants reporters to investigate what those in power are actually doing and why? If hypocrisy is good enough for our transparent (pass the bill before it’s read) leader, then it’s good enough for us all! Unless you’re one of those filthy Tea Baggers or Conservatives or protestor against tyrannical despots…you sorts need to be held accountable! Only the elite can be HypObamacrite.

AmandaKeller, Thank you for another great "no nonsense" article and I always appreciate your sincere conservative perspectives and well-articulated points that provoke thought and foster mutual respect and understanding.

Gosh, questioning our elected (and selected) "leaders" and demanding responsible actions, full accountability, and no double standards? Imagine that. I think all of us should expect those qualities in our public servants, despite one's political bend.

I don't know where the sense of entitlement comes from in a vast majority of our elected/selected folk and I think Obama and his family should be more comfortable in that big ol' White House, getting down to business, kicking the congressional shenanigans in the rear, and solving some of the real problems here on the ground in America and stop tromping all over the world burning cash and fossil fuels, especially to doing a sales job for the Olympics--which I personally consider a complete waste of time, money, and just another "feel good" distraction to keep our eyes off the war, the tanked economy, lack of health care for millions, joblessness and foreclosures, poverty and crime, et al.

Thanks again Amanda for bringing us all back down to earth once again!

Thank you jongleur, for your comments. I wish I could be singing Obama's praises. Our country was so worn out and sick of Bush. We needed a fresh start but unfortunately, it is politics as usual in a new suit.

You have a typo on Mayor Daley's name. Otherwise, good article. Chicago politics and the corruption of the IOC is an ideal match. We'll see what happens in about 4 hours when the IOC votes. If Rio wins the bid, then Republicans will have the door of opportunity that they have been looking for ever since Barack Obama became President.
  • Reply By AmandaKeller AmandaKeller | 2 months ago
Thanks for the Daley heads up! Noon EST should be quite an interesting hour. With Obama putting the prestige of the presidency on the line, I can't imagine the fix is not already in. Do you really think the Chicago machine would LET anyone else win? Crazy times though, that would be the upset of the year, no doubt. As for the Republicans, they've had many doors of opportunity. Politicians, no matter the stripe seem to loose all scruples when they are handed leverage, much less power. One thing is for sure, this is better than any soap opera! Thanks for the comments ahol888!

    Amanda,

Nice piece! I agree with CaliforniaMike that it's all over the place, but then again so is our Campaigner in Chief!

The hypocrisy is staggering with Oblablablama and I was very happy to find that he was denied this opportunity to line the pockets of his Chicago cronies.

I'll be chuckling over the rahm "the fish head" emmanuel comment all the way home from work!

    Thanks!

I wonder what the stats for name calling are for this article.

"Hypocritical acts attached to this venture are endless. The mere appearance of the Commander in Chief jet-setting to Copenhagen simultaneously to soldiers coming home in body bags from Afghanistan (the appropriate war) while his general, McCrystal, waits and waits."

McChrystal was on teh plane with Obama. They were in an all day meeting. He was there when Obama was in England and he flew with him to Copenhagen when Obama flew there.

And don't you think it is hypocritical to say you are an true American, a patriot, and whatever else conservatives like to call themselves to make themselves sound like true red white and blue Americans, and then disrespect teh First Lady, her children, the President in the manner you have in this article?

To celebrate the victory of another country, to celebrate with great enthusiasm a lost for the American people. Up to 8,000,000 jobs, starting from Monday leading all teh way to 2016, upto a 30% increase in exports starting Monday and leading to 2016 and beyond. This is a great lose for this country at a time when every job is important, every export is important.

How do you celebrate, how do you so disrespectfully bash the OFfice of the presidency and the first lady?

Someone should give the street kids incentives so they can reform and get
off the streets without causing anymore crime as David Wilkerson did in Cross and the Switchblade when he created Teen Challenge. 3/10/2009.

"How do you celebrate, how do you so disrespectfully bash the OFfice of the presidency and the first lady?"

I generally toss back a few beers... but I leave the disrespect for the office of the Presidency to Mr. Obama. Speaking for myself, it's because of my absolute respect for the office that I highly resent a man who holds it and chooses to soil it. But then again, I felt mostly the same way about Bush.
  • Reply By AmandaKeller AmandaKeller | about 1 month ago
    Ditto.

I hated Bush, he made being a muslim in America horrible. the effects of his leadership, in regards to those concerns, I feel still. I hated the Patriot act. I still hate the Patriot act. I hate that Obama wants to renew it. I hated Bush's response to the tragedy in New Orleans. I hated, I mean hated Bush.

But I never disrespected the Presidency. Never. How can you? I just don't get it.

When Bush got re-elected, I was so pist, not because I voted for Kerry, cause I didn't, but I hated Bush. But after he got elected all I said was, "WE deserve him".

If after everything he did in four years, we still elected him President, what could you do? He's our President again.

And I treated him as if he were my President. I didn't have to like him, I didn't hav to act like I liked him, but I did respect the Presidency.

My dad was part of the Kerry campaign, here in Illinois. And when he got a chance to meet Bush a year after his re-election, he didn't act like Bush was a war criminal and he locked up innocent Muslims. My dad greeted the President as if he were his President.

I just do not feel that coming from the right with Obama. And I am trying to understand it, but not coming up with any answers. Because while I was growing up it was the right that would say things like I am saying, "you should respect the President".

Just respect, not love him, not obey everything he says, not follow his views and the views of his political party, just respect him. And I just don't see it anymore. Is that sort of thing now considered something that happened in the past and just no longer apply? Is that just old fashioned or something?

Respect is something simple as, when he's talking, listen. You know that kind of thing. What happened to it?
  • Reply By AmandaKeller AmandaKeller | about 1 month ago
I do respect the office of the President. I do respect your opinions as well. I felt equally as incensed over many things Bush did. Luckily, we are in America where we have a president we can speak freely about whether we agree with him or despise him. He is not our king or our dictator, he is a man elected to serve us. I believe Obama is doing a horrible job and I also believe he has closed his ears FROM DAY ONE to anyone who disagrees with him. I will continue to point this out and make my case against him until I see him listening to his fellow citizens. Thanks for participating in the discussion.
