Does Sarah Palin hate America? I ask that because she gave a speech overseas in Hong Kong bashing the president. Wait, you say that the president isn't America? That disagreeing with or even hating a president wouldn't be hating America? Well, you would be right but I am just going by the definition of criticism of a president as unamerican as so often stated by the rightwing. Well, at least when the president in office is a republican. See, when Bush was president and a member of the Dixie Chicks stated she was embarrased that the president was from Texas (the Dixie chicks being from Texas) they were called unamerican and had a boycott against them. They were a target of rightwing political correctness because of their views.
I personally have no problem with Palin bashing Obama either in the US, France, New Zealand or Mars (where I believe they now think Obama was born.) See, those on the left don't equate disagreement with a president with hating America as seems to be so often the opinion on the right. Again, this only goes if the president is a republican. Indeed delegates to her speech stated she said that tariffs on Chinese tire imports (which Obama supported) are costing American jobs. Nice to see Palin standing up for the dictators in Beijing. Can she condemn "socialized medicine" once again?
It has come out that the Virgiana GOP Senate candidate, Bob McDonnell, wrote a masters thesis 20 years ago that stated government should "prefer married couples over cohabitators, homosexuals or fornicators.” He also didn't like women working outside the home. Hmmm, aren't we all mad that the government is preferring fornicators and homosexuals? When, just when, is the government going to end tax credits for fornicators, adulterers, and those who practice S&M? So Mr. McDonnell keep standing up for the American family! For the life of me I don't understand the far rightwing fear and loathing of all things gay. I stated this before and I will state this again, no one is making them watch "Will and Grace." Personally, I can only watch so much of that show. Look if you are a religious person or conservative who isn't opposed to gays having equal rights then I commend you but can you help convice your fellow Christians on this issue?
