According to DAWN newspaper, the Internation Committee of the Red Cross arranged video conference between a man in Guantanamo Bay and his family for the first time since his detention in 2002.He also got a chance to interact with his young son who was born after he left home.

The meeting on video was carried out in Peshawar and the family members travelled there with the help and arrangement of the Red Cross authorities.

The prisoner's wife, Ayeshah was very grateful for the efforts of the above mentioned organisation. It is hoped that more such meetings are arranged between the detainees and their families in Pakistan and around the world.

It's one way to keep them happy which can also bring out the evidence they
need either for or against their prosecution. They will give their family
incriminating evidence that normally would be held back a secret. While they are claiming innosence in court, the video could be played back with
what they told their families which could convict them. 3/10/2009.

They are mostly innocent people, mllovric.People were tempted by the reward they would get if they gave information about terrorists. So some greedy people got their neighbours arrested and those whom they had an axe to grind. Many F.B.I.agents didn't even ask for proof and just arrested innocent people from Pakistan,Afghanistan and even from Saudi Arabian and African cities. Thus many innocent people are in gitmo jail.

A good gesture on the part of the International Committee of the Red Cross
to allow the relatives to have a video chat.
It is however sad to see that innocent people are still being held prisoners in Guantanamo prisons. They should be released ASAP especially the senior citizens and innocent women.
