The village Lesa of Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele is washed away and the death toll in the Tsunami in Samoa continues to rise with the figure at 150 as of now – authorities fear the toll would increase once the debris is cleared. Most of the houses are destroyed and there could be many more people trapped beneath the rubble. The storm raged for hardly 10 minutes and razed the buildings to the ground, the waves were 15 to 20 feet high and spread to up to 1.5 miles inland. The warnings had been issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii but it appeared so suddenly that people did not get sufficient time to react and save themselves.

natural disasters so hard to avail and too little time to do anything about it.
Nature's way to keep population in track i'm guessing!

If you thought that was bad, take a look at the Indonesian earthquake that
took place. Winds are starting up around here now because Typhoon Pepeng is on its way. They said this one is not bringing as much water as Ondoy but powerful finds. It's already left a trial of death and devastation in
Vietnam and Thailand. 3/10/2009.
