There has been an outpour of global donations for the Philippines in the aftermath of tropical storm Ketsana. Plenty of countries have donated millions of dollars to the victims. Although the relief operations are ongoing, another typhoon is expected to hit the Metropolis on Saturday morning. The government is reviewing its disaster-preparedness procedures if it can withstand another possible strong typhoon. There are areas that remain flooded. Thus, power and water supply remain weak. If the new typhoon also hits these areas not yet fully recovered, the worst is expected. The Philippines hopes that the new typhoon does not cause extreme disaster. While relief operations continue all over the country and overseas, the entire nation is preparing for another typhoon. Billions worth of infrastructure have been destroyed by Ketsana. Hundreds of people have passed away. Old and new vehicles have been damaged. Ketsana did not choose between rich and poor. The new typhoon hopefully incurs less damage.
