This is unbelievable but true - a cellphone is to blame for a fatal collision at sea between an aluminum workboat and an ex-naval vessel in the Marlborough sounds in New Zealand. The skipper of the boat and his assistant were killed while other suffered injuries. His boat was travelling at a high speed and rammed into the stationary vessel – it appeared that he was talking on his cellphone and was distracted. Ever since the cellphone came to be a mandatory piece of equipment for one and all, fears are expressed of its dangers. Rules forbid from using them while driving on the road either in a two or a four wheeler, people are repeatedly warned against using it even while walking because it can distract one’s mind and result in an accident.
