Another earthquake strikes--this time the 7.6 magnitude quake, hit 33 miles (53 kilometers) from Padang, the capital city of West Sumatra. Padang is home to more than 800,000 people. At least 21 people have been reported dead and hundreds more are injured.
According to Rustam Rustam, the head of Ministry of Health's crisis center. thousands more may be trapped by collapsed buildings and houses.
The quake has caused widespread power and phone outages, making it difficult to fully evaluate the scope of the damage.
