Sending Out An SOS

Former Police frontman, Sting is encouraging rainforest campaigners to text a ‘Rainforest SOS' message in order to back action against the deforestation of rainforests as part of the Prince's Rainforest Project.

The project was established in 2007 by the Prince Of Wales in an attempt to make natural resources "worth more alive than dead" and Sting is among many who are part of a special new video compiled for the campaign.

The video also includes messages of support from famous campaigners, David Attenborough and Robin Williams. Sting said in his own message for the production, "Thirty years ago, I wrote Message In A Bottle. Today, I'm joining forces with His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and many others supporting the Prince's Rainforests Project to send an SOS to the world."

"Sending your SOS is easy, and can help create the climate for change. If there is one thing you do today, make it this."

Campaigners can submit messages by visiting: www.rainforestsos.org or by texting SOS with their full name to 60777
