Memory plays as a video camera that lacks the efficiency of reconstructing everything to detail.
Memory is enrolled highly in the life of an individual, but may be undependable at times.
Memory is built by certain categories in an individuals life such as, knowledge, self beliefs, and expectations.
Schemas act like triggers to the brain by different stimuli, when confabulating a schema is triggered and fills in the blanks.
Confabulation is the part that lacks accuracy in the reconstruction of memory, confabulation plays as a substitute
to events that the brain cannot recall, and replacing it with logical understandings. Knowing the terms of confabulation
can allow an individual to manipulate the outcome of a question asked. Elizabeth Palmer (1974) is a professor that put this
theory to the test by conducting an experiment with us of the ' leading question.' Elizabeth believed that basing the outcome
of a persons innocents by an eyewitness is a weak way for the justice system to deliver justice. Elizabeth proves that the human memory
is unreliable and that it is easily manipulated with the simple concept of the ' leading question.' Reconstructive memory is easily
Distinguished as unreliable at times due to the fact that it is simply manipulated or confabulated with schema.
