Jon Gosselin removed from 'Jon and Kate Plus 8'

According to People.com, Jon Gosselin will be removed from the TLC reality show 'Jon and Kate Plus 8' as of November 2, 2009.

After that point, the show will be renamed 'Kate Plus 8' and will primarily feature Kate Gosselin and the couple's 8 children.

The show's ratings soared in this season's premiere, with 9.8 million viewers, as people across America tuned in to witness the end of the couple's marriage. But ratings have dropped steadily since then, with only 1.7 million viewers last week, according to the website.

Some are speculating that the widespread reporting of Jon Gosselin's dating antics in the news and tabloid media have made him less of an appealing father figure for the family-based network.

Good riddance, Jon! You don't deserve the beautiful family you created. You really don't. Hopefully Kate will find someone in the end who can fulfill all the promises that you probably made the day you decided to have a family with her in the first place.
