Girl shoots down militants in Kashmir

18-year old Rukhsana was not one to give up without a fight. When her house in Rajouri was attacked by militants late in the night and when her parents lay injured and beaten senseless, she assumed the role of of Goddess Durga. She attacked one of the intruders with an axe, snatched his AK-47 and shot down the other. The one she killed was the Lashkar Commander Abu Usama. Two others escaped into the darkness. Rukhsana had never handled any firearm in her life – it was just reflex action and an attempt to survive.
