One of the most notable traits of top officals working in the Obama White House is that they are so arrogant that they firmly believe that they think they can sway public opinion by making statements and affirmations that cleary are in opposition to what the public knows to be true.
Over the weekend Vice President held true to this tradition by stating, with frim conviction, that, "...he couldn't believe how successful the economic stimulus has been...". This, of course, belies the facts that over 4 million additional jobs have been lost since the stimulus bill has been passed and the unemployment rate (which the bill was supposed to keep at 8%) is now inching towards 10%.
This comment, along with others made by press secretary Gibbs on a daily basis, the president, leaders in Congress follow a consistent pattern of logic which infers that, "...if we state it, it must be true." Nothing better explains the precipitious drop in the polls for the president, Congress, and the unpopular legislative programs they have "push" through Congress in the dead of night before anyone has time to actually read the bill they're voting on.
The voters of America have caught on to this disception and the more the White House and Congress continue to take the voters for idiots, the lower the polls will continue to fall.
Enough with making statements that insult Americans' intelligence. It's beneath the dignity of the office of the president.
