Odd One Out - And The Winner Is...

First I have to give you the answer(s). The odd one out is D'Artagnan. The other 3 are The Three Musketeers. Alexander Dumas's book tells the adventures of D'Artagnan after he leaves home to become a guard of the musketeers, but is never one of them.

mona37 had D'Artagnan correct but the other 3 weren't brothers. Good guess though! And you also figured out what the paperclips meant.
