This is sad, but my thought is nothing no matter how bad times are or how down a person may be killing ones self isn't the answer, and maybe the attacks on these students will cease.

Sadly there is racism everywhere in the world, I'm just thankful that my family raised me not to be a racist. I like all people except evil people regardless of their race. I'm from the state of Georgia in the United States, and I lived in California for 25 years and was accused of being racist and prejudece based solely on the fact that I was born and raised in the southern united states.

I'll be the first to admit that there is racisim and prejudge in the southern united states but myself and my family hate no one just based on their race and or culture or religion etc. I have friends from all walks of life and truly enjoy all people. I love learning and expericencing about different cultures.

I'm thankful that I was raised in a way that makes me well rounded and am passing it on to my children,infact my children have a multiracial family they have a black uncle, a hispanic aunte, and a fillipino aunte, so no racism or prejudge here.

Please,note ..
So many Indian students are going abroad-US/UK/Australia/NewZeasland,
just to study or to work there.

Some of them are leaving India,after selling their houses,farms or even their whole life's savings.

Because,in India wel educated person gets pay of $1.0/hour.whereas in foreign countries he/she earns $5-10/hour.That is why he sells every savings in India and fly over to abroad.

When they does not get any job or favourable response there in those countries,they gets frustrated and thinks regarding suicide.Also their parents were waiting for return of their child with a bag of millions of dollars.

This is the real phenomena which I know of India.

How sad it is when someone takes their own life. What a feeling of total aloneness they must experience before they end their lives. We can only pray for them and the loved ones they leave behind.

Excuse me but what you say is not entirely true. To begin with, neither of
those students were either permanent residents or Australian Citizens. They only came on study visas that do not give them any right to taking on
employment by law. If they are caught by the immigration authorities or the police in jobs they would be deported straight back to India. They would have to either study or return to India. That is why they couldn't get a job because they are not allowed to work on student visa. Working on
a student visa is a federal crime punishable with jail and deportation. It is the same as if a tourist takes occupation in a job in Australia or any country. If they don't have a prior arrangement with the Australian Embassy in India for work, they are not allowed to
work under any circumstances full stop. That is their own fault if they
wasted their money and had nothing to live on. I don't feel sorry for them because asking for employment they are not entitled to by law is a
criminal offense. 29/9/2009.

a 35 years old committing suicide is rally a shame. this does not answer any of the problems or end their miseries..it is simply no way out! however it is tragic and i'm sorry to hear about it!
