The G20 met to discuss the future and the new economic order while warning Iran that if they want to be a part of it they must allow inspection of their newly discovered secret uranium enrichment plant! At least now the world is finally in agreement on something but it is the average citizen once again that will be used as pawns and suffer under increased sanctions while the Government follows its not so well hidden agenda. New world economic order takes shape at G20

G20 membership is from 19 countries

Meanwhile The West warned Iran today that it will face fresh sanctions by December unless it can persuade the world of a “profound change” in its nuclear stance after the existence of its secret underground uranium enrichment plant was revealed.

I am at least happy to hear Medvedev say that we are slowly making progress on old issues even as new ones continue to emerge and we must deal with them too. I have to believe he was referring to the recent disclosure that Iran had developed another underground secret uranium enrichment plant. I am relieved to hear that Russia will do everything they can to ensure Iran cooperates with the IAEA and gives full disclosure on their real intentions for what its worth!

At the same time Two First Steps on Nuclear Weapons were taken

Obama: Urgent Nuclear Threats Require International Cooperation I am also glad to hear this and the fact that the G8 is going to be replaced with the G20 as the guiding body to ensure future compliance as there is so much at stake here for the entire world. Again I say "for what it's worth" because I do not see Iran complying with anybody nor do I see the twin coups mentioned in the following link! Obama scores twin coups on Iran, economy

I am sorry but I do not see any coup yet! Iran defies Obama and vows to switch on 'secret' nuclear facility I just got through hearing Ahmadinejad say Iran is following the rules that say they do not have to disclose any new nuclear facilities until 6 months before they are due to become operational. I do not understand the big secret! We are building a new facility, what is the big deal? I do not see a twin Coup here or any victory. I am still waiting to hear from China! China looks like a maybe for once

* In closing Obama says it's a new day Ahmadinejad says no. Ground zero on the nuclear standoff with Iran is now the holy city of Qom, Not good! The G20 will replace the G8 to stop nuclear proliferation. Sarkozy says Iran has till October 1st or else and Gordon Brown's line in the sand better hold. Sand is not a very strong foundation as Ahmadinejad warns "you will all be sorry, even Moscow who now says they will help the IAEA verify compliance. What's next?

Iran's underground uranium plant will probably be taken out by Israel's Air Force very shortly. With Benjamin Netanyahu running the show, Israel will do whatever it takes to protect itself. Right now, I doubt if Israel cares what the world thinks of its actions. They just want to survive.
Posted By jmsjoin jmsjoin | 2 months ago
caveatlector you could be right! I said years ago under Bush that coming to Israel's rescue will be our in to go after Iran which is the reason Afghanistan was diverted from to attack Iraq in the first place.

I agree too! My assertion has long been that the IRG was concieved to protect the ruling party but they have now become the ruling party. Think about Ahmadinejad and the way things have progressed since the stolen election. They are in charge!

What can be done to make people think of the ancient quotation, "Love Your Enemies." Maybe it works and people then become your friends?

Just think how many governments in the world want the populace to be silent. And the government workers are bribed into keeping people under control of the leaders paying the government workers that are trained in crowd control. Sounds like a circle that keeps repeating throughout history in various places.

Seems the world is run on crowd control. But as the world evolves people either learn from history or history repeats if people let history repeat.

Can we all just get along?

Just a bit of history - when the Romans invaded the Persians, the Iranians/Persians outwitted the Romans with all their military training by trapping the Romans in a tiny tunnel and then smoking them out with some type of poisonous smoke, according to archaeology reports. The Romans never got to use their weapons. The Romans couldn't brandish swords anyway in the narrow tunnels, but they got gassed in those tunnels and didn't attack Persia again.

Bet Iran uses the same tactics again as they know their own ancient history from the second century or so. Beware of Persians trapping their enemies in gas chambers or using biological warfare and then boasting that they did the same before to the ancient Roman army. It's all in the archaeology news reports. They still remember their ancient historical encounters with the Greeks.

Peace always wins ultimately.

What a bunch of commies appears post on this site, especially from the Americans who post here. Globalism and your "new world order" and merging our economy with that of other nations has left your fellow countrymen homeless and jobless, are you aware of that?

Are you all actually citizens of Israel, rather than the U.S., since it does appear your loyalties do appear to be more for Israel than for the good of this nation and its people, your fellow Americans, and our own national security.

The Balfour doctrine was an agreement between Great Britain and the Rothchild banking dynasty, are you aware of that, even prior to World War II and it is Britain's problem.

Although, Mr. Joiner, does appear also to be more Canadian and British in his understanding of at least our Constitution and form of government, and that defensive wars on behalf of this country in order to protect our people and economy was quite a brilliant provision.

And seem you are no "progressive" at all, but merely a "regressive" that wants to return America to British control most of all.

Or are you actually government employees, or employed in the defense or telecom industries that are most profiting off also the Iranian-Israel conflicts for your own economic welfare?

Just where is your outrage at these continuing wars on behalf of other nations as was quite evident during the Bush years?

What a bunch of hypocrites.

To Ross1776 - Is it being hypocritical by stating one's opinion? I do not think so.
If there is a war going on anywhere in the world then that simply means that the world is not at peace.
We each have a right to state our views using what should be the democratic medium of all citizens of the world, our voices in other words.
Better to criticize our warmongering leaders than each others opinions on the internet.
Interesting article, thanks.

The world would do well to remember Iran's history too and that it is no Iraq or Afghanistan. They or us whoever, chooses to be oponents and they are wiley ones.
