A new movement is taking place in the online social networking world. A new face is appearing in the midst of the other popular community sites and is making some serious noise. Historically in this young but popular industry, every couple of years the torch seems to be passed on to a better and more interesting idea. It started with Friendster and now Twitter is the hot new concept (with myspace and facebook in between). But now it looks like the torch is being passed on again. This time it is viewmycalendar catching all of the hype and users are eating it up.

That's interesting. I don't know if this will be a big thing with the young crowd, but I can see businesses and companies making use of it. Don't they already have tools similar to this, like Google calendar and Yahoo calendar? It's not really a brand new idea. But then again, twitter wasn't either. People were already able to update their statuses on myspace and facebook.
