Throughout the United States, many say paternity fraud is an epedimic while conversly there are those who say it is not. No one debates that paternity fraud is devastating; however, to prove it is a sweeping issue would require national monitoring and reporting on this specific situation. Tracking criteria would have to be clearly defined and responsibility for data collection would have to be assigned. Not to mention educating court systems, attorneys, mental health practitioners, etc...state by state, county by county, and city by city on exactly what to report.

Unfortunately, to date, no studies have been done on this topic. The USA is tracking divorce and custody and there are studies and statistics to demonstrate the effects and various groups and institutions offering services (mediation, ad lietums, support groups, etc...) appropriately constructed based on those findings. Without studies on paternity fraud and statistics on its frequency, there remains no real proof of its impact or assistance for the individuals it affects.

Until now! www.paternityfraud.com has put together a survey that may be the first step in understanding the issues and could lead to the proof needed to validate this devastating situation. They are asking those experiencing paternity fraud to take this survey and help them establish its impact. Taking part in this survey shed's light on the issue and could change the future.
