US Embassy in South Africa Closes Down After Security Threat

All government facilities of the United States in South Africa have been shut down because of an unnamed security threat. The US Embassy in Pretoria did not give further details.
Embassy spokesperson Sharon Hudson-Dean said only: ”We received information from the regional security office which I cannot discuss,” iafrica.com reported.
She added: ”Our current assumption is that all US government facilities will be open on Wednesday.”
CNN news said US officials were keeping in close contact with their South African counterparts.
