The next chapter of "Stargate" premiers with a 2 hour episode on October 2nd... The show starts with a stargate team (that is under attack) using a stargate and finding themselves trapped aboard the "Destiny" a ship they have no control over other than using the stargate when they come across planets...

The Destiny is a ship the ancients programmed to follow-up on planets they had seeded thousands of years ago... The crew will come across aliens in this show but there will not be a dominant race (such as the Wraith or or Goa'uld)

the show will have 3 major characters killed off in the 1st episode and a suicide by the 6th. There will be a number of "crossover" and guest stars appearing in a few episodes, but none of them will become permanent residents of the Destiny...

the show sounds good, accept for the "no permanent residents" aspect, for a show to succeed you have to have a regular person or two for the audience to adhere to, and eventually either fall in love with or learn to hate, to have no regulars on the show, well, I don't think that is a good idea, a returning audience wants to see the same face, to have someone that they develop a liking or dislike for, we shall see how this one turns out

The regular crew will be returning as "permanent residents" - what they're saying is there won't be any of the "regulars" from PRIOR shows (Atlantis, Stargate 1, etc) becoming "permanent" residents on THIS show...

Stargate was a serial on TV in the Philippines a few years ago, it was on
five nights a week and I loved watching it while it lasted. Since they axed it, nothing like it was shown again except a lot of trash that doesn't interest me. They are talking about bringing BIG BROTHER back again which is a bloody idiotic show mind me saying. 23/9/2009.

My sister and her husband are into Big Brother -definitely not my kind of show... I'm waiting for "24" to start up again...
