This morning on CBS's "Face The Nation," President Barack Obama responded to claims that racism is at least partly responsible for the conflicting points of view running rampant through the media, especially in relation to health care reform. When asked about this by the program's host, Bob Schieffer, the president said about those who want to incite conflict, "the quickest way to 15 minutes of fame is to be rude to somebody."

In other words, President Obama meant that personal attacks by those who disagree with him, for whatever reason(s), are disseminated most efficiently through use of the media.

Sad...isn't there a more effective use for television, radio, the internet, and print?
