Iconic Canadian Singer/writer/poet Leonard Cohen fainted on stage during a performance in Valencia, Spain last night. Cohen (who turns 75 on Monday) was on his knees mid-way through a version of "Bird on a Wire" when he collapsed.
He is O.K. however and was found to be suffering from a stomach ailment that was causing cramps and discomfort. It is unsure whether he will be able to recover in time for an upcoming Barcelona performance.
Perhaps he got sick thinking about all the money his financial advisor had absconded with in the past few years! I wish him a speedy recovery and hope the "songbird" of solemnity gets quickly back on his perch!
(There is a video of the incident available in the vid section along with another Cohen song)
