NHA did not start work in damage Bridges of Dara Adam khel, People of Southern Districts

Peshawar (19 September 2009) National high way authority did not rebuilds the two main bridges in Dara Adam Khel area, which destroyed by Taliban. The vehicles from Peshawar to southern districts walk off to one side of the bridges.

6 month back when Pakistan army start operation in this area, local Taliban destroyed bridges to stop the transporting of pak army.

Now situation is change, and there is no activity of Taliban. Commander Tariq group was active in Dara Adam khel but after army action now no active group in Dara Adam Khel.

Pak army makes security picket in area, and they check every vehicle whose use kohat tunnel.

These bridges on road to Kohat Tunnel, but national high way authority that is the responsible for road construction did not start work damage bridges.

People who use the kohat tunnel facing problem the lack of space on these bridges, they use single road.

The problem has more serious when army close the tunnel for security reason from 7 pm until 7 am.
