Holmes comet has for the second time come to the attention of astronomers. The first time was in 2007 when an outburst increased the visibility of the comet by 1,000,000 times and produced a dust cloud larger than our sun...

Now the comet has done something that is seldom seen - it has produced a swarm of "baby" comets... It is currently on its way out - away from us, but will return in 2014 - We'll be waiting to see what it does then...
