California Budget Cuts Affect School Magnet Program

With recent California budget cuts, many vital programs are getting the axe. Those that have not been eliminated entirely, are still feeling the effects of the figurative axe blade.

While attention is currently directed on the possiblility of nearly 1000 city employees about to be out of work, there are other pressing issues as well.

Vital funds for Magnet Programs continue to be chipped away. Some schools have lost valuble staff, which has an immediate, as well as long range affect on our children's learning.
