An Young Girl committed Suicides by Jumping in Chitral River

Young girl jumped in Chitral River & committed suicides. Dead body still missing.

CHITRAL: A young girl jumped into Chitral River and committed suicides. According to detail (Chitral police) a young girl daughter of Maulai Jan teacher retired resident of Moldeh Chitral town jumped in Chitral river and suicides. Reasons behind her suicide could not ascertain. Source told that she was also Hafiz Quran and was learning Islamic knowledge in a religious Madrasa. She had engaged to Munir son of Haji Kaki jan. Station Head Officer (SHO) Chitral police station Bashir Khan told this scribe that no one have lodged any report in this regard. Hence police have started investigations in this case SHO added. Dead body of deceased girl could not recover from the river until filling of this report and local volunteers are continuously trying to recover her corpse from the river. It is worth to mention here that suicide ration among women folk by jumping in Chitral river is on high level and there are so many reasons for increasing number of women suicides. Social and political circles of Chitral strongly criticized Organizations working for women empowerment for their badly failure who could not control and reduced women suicide cases in Chitral.

Ramzan Cup Faizabad Cricket Tournament ended.

CHITRAL: Ramzan Faizabad Cricket Cup tournament ended at Degree College play ground. The final match was contested between Ochust cricket team and Faizabad Cricket team. Some 40 cricket teams participated in the Ramzan tournament. Winning the Toss Ochust team batting first. The teams were given a target of 109 runs on 14 over. Hence on 99 runs players of Faizabad team all out and Ochust won the match. Tehsil Nazim Chitral Sartaj Ahmad Khan was chief guest on the occasion who announced of rupees 4000 for organizing committee and rupees 1000 each for winner and runner up team. He distributed trophy and cup among winner and runner up teams players. He stressed upon the youth to must participate in games for their physically fitness. He said that we will patronize cricket match because our youth are very much fond of sports and like cricket. A large number of players and spectators were gathered in the ground to enjoy Ramzan Cup tournament.
