Or at least the term. What is so "mainstream" about the New York Times, NBC News, and the others? Ratings seem to show that Fox News is far more "mainstream" then they are in terms of conforming with the views of most Americans.
Goldberg asks how someone like Glenn Beck can constantly can constantly get stories that are missed? Not only that, I would add ignore? It would be one thing to be plain incompetent but how about flat-out decietful? Not a word was devoted to Van Jones. In the video, Norah O'Donnel says that the ACORN video might be entrapment and Charles Gibson claims not to know about it. Then there's the treatment of Francis Collins whom the New York Times seems to be worried about despite the fact that Eric Holdren has talked about forced sterilization, Jim Pouillon and the list goes on and on.
Michelle Malkin has a good suggestion, the ostrich media. The put their head in the sand whenever anything uncomfertable is seen.
