The sixth world seed Del Potro of Argentina gave a stunning performance to beat the five time defending champion Roger federer by 3-6,7-6(7/5),4-6,7-6(7/4),6-2 to clinch the US open 2009 title.Del Potro became the first South merican Player to win a grandslam since Gullimero vilas in 1977.
Del Potro the 21 year old magical boy got a whopping 1.85 million dollars.The match lasted upto the 5th set, it is the only third time in the championship career of Roger federer.Dol Potro just grab the opportinity of the 11th double fault made by Roger Federer and won the match.
