The battle to lead a Golkar party is begin. Aburizal Bakrie likely to win the race.
In the last 30 days the battle to lead the former Indonesian ruling party, Golkar which will have a National Convention Golkar leaders party in Pekanbaru city, Riau provinces on October 4-7, 2009 to chose a newly a Chairman to replace Muhammad Jusuf Kalla was began.
Base on the total supporting from the regional Golkar leaders, there are only three candidates who will have an opportunity to lead Golkar. First currently Indonesian President Susilo Bambangt Yudhoyono cabinet members, Coordinating Minister for Welfare Aburizal Bakrie, second, currently Advisory Board Chairman of Golkar Party and Indonesian media tycoon Surya Paloh, and the third candidates is younger son of late Indonesian former President Suharto, Tommy Soeharto.
From three of the candidates, Advisory Board Chairman of Democrat Party and currently President and elected President for 2009-2014 Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono likely to have an informal supporting to Aburizal Bakrie, because of his primary supporting, financially and morally to win the Yudhoyono Presidential candidacy campaign on the currently Indonesian presidential pool.
Other candidates Surya Paloh have a support from currently Vice President Muhammad Jusuf Kalla, and some of the regional Golkar leaders. Event Tommy Suharto get a support from a potential and energetic Golkar young leader Yuddy Chrisnandy, but hard for Tommy to get a majority of supporting from Golkar regional leaders, because either Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono or Muhammad Jusuf Kalla likely not ready yet to support Tommy Soeharto base on the his currently personal tract record.
If we look at the majority of the Indonesian Golkar regional leaders supporting, the majority of them prepare to support Aburizal Bakrie. But, Aburizal Bakrie will lose his change to win to lead the Golkar, if any other candidates still continuing their black campaign and use their wealth power to influence Golkar regional leaders.
