South Carolina Representative Joe Wilson, unbeknownst to him at the time, may have started a new wave of Political Fundraising. Not only for himself, but for his Democratic opponent in the 2010 Congressional race in his district.

Forget about fancy speech writers and slogans, Joe Wilson may have the next best selling book on how to out gain & out raise your opponent in political contributions. "YOU LIE" - Two Words To Triumph"

Not only did Joe Wilson's words bring back from the grave Rob Miller's campaign to try and unseat Wilson for a second try, it opened the floodgates for his ownd war chest raking in a hefty $750K in the few days that followed his accurate but untimely statement.

Joe Wilson also put the focus back on illegal immigration in the same fashion that Sarah Palin's "Death Panel" comments did. And as with the Death Panel comments, the "You Lie" comment has exposed the fact that illegal immigrants would ultimately be provided a way to be covered under the proposed Healthscare Bill. Joe Wilson turned out to be right.

If needed, Joe Wislon still has an ACE in the hole. Should his campaign falter and the contributions begin to dry up, maybe he can shout out "YOU Continue To Lie" anywhere Barack Obama shows up to give a speech about Healthcare and says "I was never for a Single Payer System".

Here is what I am referring to:

Obama in 2003: ‘I Happen to be a Proponent of a Single-Payer Universal Health Care Plan;'

Obama in 2009: ‘I Have Not Said That I Was a Single-Payer Supporter’

Refuting that in Public would probably bring in another 1-2 million for Joe.

If you extrapolate the over 100 confirmed lies Obama has told the American people and multiply them by $500K for each lie, Joe Wilson can potentially rake in a whopping $50 Million. Can you say "You Lie" one hundred times?

    Ahol888,

I just wanted to show that Joe Wilson's comment "YOU LIE" had a basis for it. As partisan as we may all be at times, we must admit he has had his share of lies & half truth's. So I wanted to let Joe Wilson know that your comments were not startling to me.

    lecia,

He has piled up quite a few in a short time. unfortunately when you have a media that is complicit in all of his gaffes & half truths, it will not get the play ot should. It only gets a big play whne someone has the guts to confront him and question his credibility head on. We need more Joe Wilson's.
